QuantumCMS 4.x Tutorials

Using the Navigation Tree

The navigation tree allows you to access and manage all the pages within your web site. This tutorial gives you an overview of how to use the navigation tree.

Page Detail Overview

Each time you create a page in QuantumCMS, you must fill out details of the page besides the body copy. This tutorial reviews each of the fields on that page and offers suggestions on what to enter.

Add Document Page

The document page type is the standard page type for pages on your web site. Most pages of your site will be of this type.

Add File Page

The file page type allows you to make a page within your web site that loads a file. Without using this page type, you must link to files within the body content of a page, and you cannot have a file appear in the navigation. This page type is also used for creating PodCasts within your site.

Add Redirection Page

The redirection page type allows you to create a page within your site that will move a user to another page -- either on your site or another site. The redirection page itself never draws since it immediately moves a user to the address specified when creating the page.

The tree within QuantumCMS is the simplest way to view and manage your site. You can see all the pages within the site, the types of pages (Document, File, Redirection, etc.), and the overall structure of the site. One thing it did not do, however,…

We've listened to your feedback about the file manager and made some changes. Right off the bat, you should notice clearer icons in the file manager pane, making it more obvious what each function is. We haven't changed the overall layout in that pa…
