All QuantumCMS 4 web sites have built-in support for Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a free web traffic reporting tool that allows you to track a variety of information about your web site's visitors.
Adding Analytics to your site is really simple. All you need to do is create a Google Analytics account and paste the tracking code into QuantumCMS.
1. Getting Started
If don't already have an account, you can sign up for one on the Google Analytics home page. Click the "Sign Up Now" link in the blue box on the right side of the screen.

You can sign in to Google Analytics with an existing Google Account (note: this does not have to be a GMail Account). Otherwise, you will need to sign up for a Google Account first.

2. Creating a Google Account
If you already have a Google Account, log into Google Analytics and skip to step #3. Otherwise, refer to the following instructions.
To sign up, choose an email address and password. This email address will be used to sign-in to your account. Click the button at the bottom of the page. You will receive an email to confirm the creation of your account. Click the specified link in the email to complete the sign-up process.

3. Signing up for Google Analytics
On the Google Analytics home page click the Access Analytics button on the right and sign-in with you Google Account.
On the following screen, click the Sign Up button to create your account.

Insert the web site address that you want to track. You must also choose an Account Name, Country, and Time Zone for the account. Click Continue.

Complete the next two steps by entering your contact information and accepting the Terms or Service.
QuantumCMS will automatically insert the provided tracking code. Click Save and Finish to complete the set-up process.

4. Setting Up Analytics in QuantumCMS
In order to begin tracking visitor data, you will need to add the site's unique identifier number to QuantumCMS. That code can be found on the Web Site Profile screen next to the domain name and is usually formatted as UA-XXXXXXX-X.

1. Copy the unique identifier provided by Google Analytics.
2. Log into QuantumCMS and click the Settings option in the header.
3. Select Site Configuration from the menu.
4. Click on the Marketing tab. At the bottom of the screen you should see the Google Analytics logo. Below that, you can paste the unique identifier into the Tracking Code field (see below).

5. Configuring Google Analytics to Track Site Search
This allows you to see what visitors searched for on your web site. Click the Edit link under the Action column on the Web Site Profile screen.

On the Profile Settings screen, the first box is labeled "Main Website Profile Information." Click the Edit link to the right of that.

Find the "Site Search" section. Toggle the Do Track Site Search option so that it is selected.
Enter "SearchKeywords" in the Query Parameter box. Leave the remaining radio buttons at their default values.
