Disabling Pop-up Blockers

QuantumCMS makes use of Pop-up windows for various tasks. Make sure that all Pop-up blockers are disabled before authoring.

In most browsers, you can simply turn off your Pop-up Blocker while authoring OR you can allow Pop-ups for specific web sites, which is recommended.

Internet Explorer 6 & 7

Turn Off Pop-Blocker
1. Click the Tools option in the File menu of the browser.
2. Select Pop-up Blocker.
3. Choose Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.

Setting Pop-up Blocker Exceptions
1. Click the Tools option in the File menu of the browser.
2. Select Pop-up Blocker.
3. Choose Pop-up Blocker Settings.
4. In the dialog box (see below), enter the URL of the site where you would like to allow pop-ups.
5. Click the Add button.
6. Click the Close button.


Firefox 3

Turn Off Pop-Blocker
1. Click the Tools option in the File menu of the browser.
2. Select Options.
3. In the dialog box (see below), choose Content.
4. Uncheck Block pop-up windows.
5. Click the OK button.


Setting Pop-up Blocker Exceptions
1. Click the Tools option in the File menu of the browser.
2. Select Options.
3. In the Options dialog box (see above), choose Content.
4. Click the Exceptions button next to Block pop-up windows.
5. In the Allowed Sites dialog box (see below), enter the URL of the site where you would like to allow pop-ups.
6. Click the Close button.
7. In the Options dialog box, click the OK button.
