If you want to get the most out of your screen real estate, there are a few techniques to keep in mind that may help improve your experience.
1. Set Your Screen Resolution to 1024 x 768 or Greater
The minimum screen resolution requirement for using QuantumCMS is 800 x 600, but we recommend that you keep your monitor's resolution at 1024 x 768 or higher for the best authoring experience.
2. Collapse the Site Tree
Anytime that you do not need to access the Site Tree, you can collapse it to give yourself more space. To collapse, simply click the vertical gray bar with the arrow. To expand, click the bar again.
3. Collapse the Content Editor Toolbar
You can also collapse the toolbar in the content editor to give yourself more vertical space while editing a page. To collapse, click the small arrow at the left side of the toolbar. To expand, click the arrow again.
4. Use Full Screen Mode in Your Browser
Both Firefox and Internet Explorer allow you to access web sites at Full Screen, which will hide browser "chrome," including all toolbars, the address bar, and status bar. To enter Full Screen mode in either browser, press F11 on your keyboard. To exit, press F11 again.
By combining all three techniques, you will create the maximum amount of space for authoring within your screen resolution.
