Should QuantumCMS users be able to view their changes in a staging location before it appears on the live site even when they are editing live content?

Or is it sufficient to be able to preview the page with the new content/updates prior to committing it to the database?
Should people other than the author be able to see the staged pages? For example, you may want someone else to approve your change before you commit it.
It's been my experience that you often want other folks to review a page. I've gotten by on calling them and saying, "Quick, look now," but that is obviously not ideal. Also, leaving it unpublished and giving them the URL. This is especially significant at a large company or a large site. So I guess I would say (and I think I have recommended, not sure) that such a feature be developed. As this thread is rather old, perhaps it has!

P.S. The strikethough feature given above, does anyone use that? For what?
Will,

We have queued up this feature for future development. What we often tell our users to do in the meantime is publish the page but hide it from navigation. Then it can be reviewed by anyone without it appearing in the navigation and drawing visitors.

Regarding the strikethrough feature of the editor on this forum, it's just part of the default Ning configuration. I don't think I'll ever be using it.
