Have you ever made an update to a page in QuantumCMS, saved it, and checked it on the public site, only to find that your changes aren't showing up?
You are not alone and you are not crazy. This is just your browser doing its job. Internet browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Firefox, download all of a web page's files when you visit it. That way, the next time you visit that same site or page, the browser can use the downloaded files to load the page faster. This process is known as
caching and it means that sometimes when you go to check your updates, you'll find that the browser is still displaying the old, downloaded files, rather the new ones.
So what can I do?
Option 1: The answer may be easier than you think. Often, you can simply
Refresh the page (on the public side, not in QuantumCMS) by clicking the Refresh button or pressing F5 or CTRL + R (CMD + R on Mac) on your keyboard.
Option 2: You can force the browser to reload the page from scratch (without drawing on downloaded files) in most browsers by pressing CTRL + F5 (CMD + F5 on Mac) on your keyboard.
Option 3: If all else fails, you can manually clear your browser's cacher and reload the page using either of the previous two options. See below for instructions.
Clearing Your Cache
Firefox 3: From the file menu, select
Tools > Clear Private Data. Check the
Cache option in the dialog box. Click the
Clear Private Data Now button and
Refresh the page.

Internet Explorer 7: From the file menu, select
Tools > Internet Options. In the dialog box, click the
Delete button on the General tab, under the Browsing History label. On the following dialog box, click the
Delete files... button.

Internet Explorer 6: From the file menu, select
Tools > Internet Options. In the dialog box, click the
Delete Files... button on the General tab under the Temporary Internet Files label.

This is a commonly faced issue and all browsers provide an option for clearing the cache.
